DIRECTIONS & MAPS

You'll find printable maps on the left. You'll need the latest version of the Free Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you have trouble viewing the maps, go to adobe.com and download the free plugin for Acrobat Reader.

On the Trail Map, you'll find a bike trail, hiking trails, and a handicap safe trail. Throughout the park is benches for your convenience.

Off the Travis Hiking Trail (Approx. 1 mile, not including side trails) you'll find:

  • A wildlife viewing area which overlooks a temporary pond
  • The Sam Houston Bridge provides a heavily shaded area to take a break
  • A large Live Oak Tree
  • A record size Juniper Tree
  • Kate's Outlook, which sits at an rocky outcrop viewing over treetops to the north

Off the Bowie Bike Trail (Approx. 3 miles) you'll find:

  • To the south and east, steady prairie and wide views of the park
  • On the North side, rocky terrain and inevitable adventure
  • In case you decide to Hike the Bike trail, we have included the San Jacinto Pass (for Hikers only) that leads back to the Elizabeth Crockett Butterfly Trail.

Along the Elizabeth Crockett Butterfly Trail (Approx. 1/4 mile) you'll find:

  • Fully functional Windmill
  • Butterfly Garden complete with native plants
  • Rainwater Harvest for the Butterfly Garden
  • Picnic area with tables & trash receptacles included
  • Handicap safe

From 377 just North-East of Granbury, take Fall Creek Highway (FM 167) South. Then take a left (east) turn onto Smoky Hill Ct. which is across from the front entrance of DeCordova Bend Estates. Follow Smoky Hill Ct to the end of the road to our entrance gate.
